Driver must be minimum 23 years old and must have the driving license for at least one year.
The maximum rental age is 77 years.
• Please note that we do not check the age of the driver when we receive a booking. If you do not meet the age requirements at the rental counter, you will not be able to pick up the car.
Drivers must hold a valid license for at least one (1) year. National Driving Licenses issued in EU, US, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Israel, Russia,Ukraine are accepted. An International Driving License is required in all other cases.

In case of the unfortunate event of an accident/breakdown resulting in the immobilization of the vehicle, the renter must contact our company immediately. Your car will be replaced with another one within 24 hours from the time the accident/breakdown has been reported. Our company has the right to investigate the causes of the accident/breakdown and deny the replacement of the car if the use of the car was against terms & conditions.
Traffic Fines & Law
Any traffic tickets and fines which are received during the renting period are the responsibility of the renter. The car rental company should be informed about any such traffic violation or tickets for example:
- Neglectful driving
- Driving under the influence of alcohol
- Driving while intoxicated with illegal substances
- Driving in prohibited areas
- Evident disregarding actions to the car
- Red light crossing
In such cases, the renter is fully accountable for all charges.
Underside & Tire Damages
The CDW insurance policy does NOT cover undeside the car damages as well as car tires. Customer is obligated to repair it.
The renter has to return the vehicle with the same level of petrol as delivered. Vehicles delivered during the night (out of office hours), have at least half tank of petrol filled. This will be enough to drive you anywhere in the island. In addition our representative will be willing to guide you to the nearest petrol station.
Ferrying the vehicle & Across the border rentals
Ferrying the car to and from any island or mainland is not allowed. All insurances will be voided and the renter will be responsible for any damage caused if the vehicle is driven elsewhere than Crete Island.
Selection of particular car brand or model
Bookings are subject to a specific car group, which usually includes several different car models with similar features. You can ask for a specific model after your booking is confirmed. We will add your model preference to your booking and we will deliver the requested model if it is available the day of your arrival. Please note that you must be prepared to collect any of the advertised vehicles within a category. In case you have a confirmed reservation for a specific car group and there is not any available car from this category, we reserve the right to deliver a vehicle of bigger category with no extra charge.
There is no daily kilometers limit.
All taxes included
Any VAT due is already included in the price. No tax is added when you pay on arrival.
Car delivery at Airport, Port, or Hotel and Airbnbs.
At your request, you can have the car delivered at the Airport/Port or directly to your city hotel/Airbnb. At departure you can leave the car at your desired location (Airport,Port,Hotel). We also deliver at Chania Airport with an extra fee of 50€.
Additional drivers for free
There is no extra charge for the additional driver but he should also have valid driving license and passport or ID card.
No extra charge upon arrival delay
We are always informed for your arrival time, as well as last minute flight schedule changes that might occur. Our staff will wait for your arrival flight in order to deliver you the booked vehicle.
Free baby and child seats
We offer security seats for babies and children without any charge.It is the renter’s responsibility to properly install and fasten a child safety or child booster seat.
Free road map of Crete
We provide a free detailed road map of Crete to our customersuppon youn arrival.We can offer you a GPS Sat nav device with the most recent map of Greece, with latin character map, available in 17 languages. The cost is 5 € per day.
Free airport parking at the car return
Leaving the car at the airport parking point, on departure day, is free of charge, and is the easiest way to catch your plane or boat.
Port parking return
The return to the port of Heraklion has a charge of 3 € which is paid directly to the parking lot.
Driving in Crete island
All insurance coverings & waivers are valid provided that the renter has complied with all terms & conditions and use the car among Crete island. The renter is obliged to pay for repairing costs of any damage caused to the rental vehicle if the use of the car is not proper, as below:
The vehicle is operated on any unauthorised road, non-asphalt road, dirt road or off-road (eg. Balos). The renter violates traffic rules (eg. road/STOP signs, speed limits, road direction, U-turns). The renter violates parking rules. The renter ignores any unnoticed accident or damage to the vehicle. The vehicle is operated in any race, speed test, rally or contest or the vehicle is used for the purpose of reward (taxi or courier service). The vehicle is driven by any person disqualified from holding or has never held a driver’s licence appropriate for that vehicle or is not a registered driver in the rental agreement. The driver of the vehicle is under the influence of alcohol or any drug that affects his ability to drive the vehicle. The vehicle is operated outside of the hire or any agreed extension of that term. The vehicle is willfully or recklessly damaged by the renter (note: burning out a clutch, sitting/standing on the bonnet/boot/roof of the vehicle, damages to the vehicle interior).
If you have already picked up your vehicle and wish to keep it longer, you must contact our company and check if the car is available. We have the right to deny the extension of the rental if the car is already booked. Please note that a customer is not allowed to bring the car later than the agreed return time without notify us since there is not any insurance coverage after the return time of the car.
There is no charge if the customer cancels a reservation, but please let us know as soon as possible.
In case of an accident, the renter must contact our company immediately via our 24/7 helpline in order to receive instructions on how to handle the situation. You are not allowed to leave the incident place without reporting the accident. If you cannot contact our company, you should contact directly the police. If the renter fails to provide the report to our company then he is obliged to pay for repairing costs of any damage caused to the rental vehicle. If the driver or one of the passengers is injured you should also inform police/ambulance. If by any chance the other involved party leaves the accident place, take a photo or write down the plate number. We will also call our insurance partner for an accident report. It is prohibited to drive under alcohol influence and disobey traffic rules.
Some few special models require deposit. The amount of the deposit varies according to the car model. When you arrive to pick up your vehicle, we collect the full cost of the rental and a security deposit. Once you return the vehicle, We will refund your security deposit in full, unless there are additional unplanned charges – such as fuel replacement, vehicle damage or a late return. The time it takes to receive your refund is based on the method of payment used to pay for your rental. Please note that the refund can take up to 14 days, depending on the issuing bank of the credit card.
Your privacy is respected and we will not distribute your personal information to any third party which is not involved in your car rental enquiry.
All payments made using the card are processed through the electronic payment platform of “Alpha e-Commerce” of Alpha Bank and uses TLS 1.2 encryption protocol encryption with 128-bit (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL). Encryption is a way of coding the information until it reaches its recipient, who will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.
